What I have found (maybe you all know this) is that if you set up an RSS reader on your device and point it to feed.php you will get a great 'live' stream of the latest posts where ever they may be on the forum .its actually pretty close to having the old site back.

Hope this helps someone.

robjg63 ...

I did this (knew about this but never thought to do it) and It sure is great. Did exactly what you said ... set up an RSS Feed and I really must Thank You big time for this info. I set this up and your right. It's just like having the old site back. So again Thanks a big bunch for this makes it much easier to follow the post at the forum.

Sad to have the old site gone. Really liked the layout versus the free-forum layout.
The old site was in a wonderful chronological order - made it very easy to check for the latest.

By the way - thanks to all contributors to this site.

As everyone else noted. I will miss the old site. I checked it several times a day. I love British and Commonwealth TV shows, and this message board and the old site help me keep up with new programming. Without sites like these, it would be difficult to know what DVDs to buy, and I would have to wait long periods (e.g., in the case of Poirot, sometimes years) before I could see the programs and buy the DVDS. I am so grateful for this message board.

Oy!

Very very sad indeed. Thanks for this forum, but it isn't nearly the same as the great JannaJives.

Thanks for it all.

Yes, it's very sad indeed. At least we have the Forum, and that's wonderful, but I seriously hope it will be possible to see jj.pw return in some form or other too. Thanks so much for all the work that went into it, and might well return.

I too am sad... It seems I was just getting past the loss of Hector when Jannas went down. :( I wish there was something I could do to help, but I have no server to offer. If, however, donations would help, let me/us know... I'm also a pretty good site designer, having done graphic design for 20+ years. Reach out if I can be of service.

All my best wishes and thanks for EVERYTHING!

Lora

I have to agree with all you have said, while I really will miss Jannajives.pw this forum is so much better than not having one at all

How sad is it that JannaJives.PW is no more. It was one of the two or four most regular stops I made each day (and multiple times a day). It will be much missed.

That said, I feel myself fortunate that this forum is still up (and that I (atypically) had the foresight to take note of it and register about . . . looks like a year ago, now). While frankly, the format here is (from my perspective) less friendly/convenient, it is considerably better than a poke in the eye with a stick, and I much appreciate it, and the folks who put in the effort into keeping it up and going. Thanks.
